Lockeia amygdaloides (Seilacher, 1953)
Schlirf, 2000
Emended diagnosos. Stout, high-standing, almond-shaped ridges with a smooth surface, tapering at both ends; sometimes showing tall vertical spreite.
Description: Small, stout, almond-shaped ridges with a smooth surface, more or less tapering at both ends. Trace length is 3-9 mm, width 1.5-4 mm, and height 1-3 mm.
Knaust, 2004
Symmetrical, almond-shaped bodies with smooth surface, rounded or pointed at both ends. Maximum width generally varies between 1 and 3 mm, although a few specimens are less than 1mm or up to 4mm wide. Length is generally between 1 and 8 mm; however, some of the bodies continue as short (5–25 mm) Planolites montanus burrows. Height is between 0.5 and 2mm. Specimens are preserved in convex hyporelief on silty shale and may reach a density of 70–80 per 100 cm2. L. amygdaloides differs from similar L. siliquaria and L. avalonensis by its typical stout shape.
