Chondrites caespitosus Fischer-Ooster, 1858 is composed of slightly winding, branched tunnels with angle of branching that is about 45°. The tunnels are relatively denser and shorter than those of other ichnospecies of Chondrites (Uchman, 1999, 2007a).
