Emended diagnosis: Vertical to near-vertical Lingulichnus, commonly preserved with subjacent, slender, basal stem trace. Oval upper shaft and circular basal stem, both straight to moderately sinuous. Elongate forms commonly exhibit concave-up spreite or laminae. A cylindrical, sediment-filled tube commonly extends vertically through, and below, the center of the elliptical tubes.
