Fascichnus frutex (Radtke, 1991)

Taxon description

Wisshak et al., 2008

Description. In contrast to Fascichnus dactylus, this ichnospecies has shorter galleries with larger diameters of 8 to 15 µm and often displays bifurcations (Fig. 5E-F). In addition, cell-like constrictions are a common feature (Fig. 5E). Individual galleries are more or less constant in diameter or may slightly widen distally, and the terminations are round and blunt.
