Xylokrypta can be considered a U-shaped boring since the two openings are on opposite sides of the chamber, but since one opening was closed and the chamber expands distally, we have considered it here a clavate boring.

Diagnosis. Curved boring in wood substrate consisting of two
shafts that connect at depth to a central chamber. Meniscate frass
fills one shaft and part of the upper central chamber.
