Piscichnus Feibel, 1987

Emended diagnosis (after Feibel, 1987, supplemented by Knaust, 2012 ; Uchman et al., 2018). A shallow-to-deep, steep- or gentle-sided, circular or oval in top view, dish-shaped, plug- or bowl-shaped in vertical cross section, depression or pit-like structure. The edge of the structure/excavation may be surrounded by a low/flat rim. The size ranges reflect different species or size/age of trace maker, preservational and behavioral differences.
