Type macroboring, substrate calcareous, tracemaker invertebrate.

Diagnosis. A single, large, subspherical to ovoid chamber bearing numerous radiating, mostly simple, almost straight, almost invariably unbranched canals of various thickness and generally having a greater length than the diameter of the chamber. The majority of chambers reach more than 20 mm in diameter. The roof of the boring is lacking.
