Diagnosis: Individual, unbranched, circular to elliptical holes in
bony armour substrates produced always from the outside, perpendicular or slightly angled. Smooth hole rim, and relatively smooth internal wall. The interior cavity of the hole forms a tapered upside-down ogive/cone shape.
