Type microboring; substrate calcareous; tracemaker bacterium.

Diagnosis: Fasciculus rogus has the overall shape of a raspberry or cauliflower. The cross-section of the boring appears fan-shaped with the proximal tubes arranged tightly together. The individual tubes are distinguishable only by their separated, distal ends.
