Taxon description

Attachment; substrate calcareous; tracemaker invertebrate.
Santos et al., 2005
Diagnosis: Oval to subpolygonal trace fossil in the form of a well-defined outer furrow following a curved rectilinear pathway at the initial ontogenetic stages and a markedly festoonsd pathway at the later ones. The inner zone usually exhibits fine, concentric grooves of subovoid to subpolygonal shape. In some cases, the grooves are at least as deep as the outer furrow.
