Taxon description
Wisshak et al., 2008
Description. Its thin (4-8 µm in diameter) galleries of uniform diameter penetrate the substrate in oblique to perpendicular manner and bifurcate only rarely if at all. Initial (Fig. 5B) and small (Fig. 5A) colonies show a radiating pattern from a central area of entry whereas other forms build up dense carpets of thin and deeply penetrating galleries with no individual colonies recognisable (Fig. 5C-D).
Wisshak et al., 2005a
Original ichnospecies diagnosis: A bundle of uniformly thick, separate galleries, sometimes with terminal clubshaped swellings, penetrates the substrate from a central area mainly in a perpendicular or angled direction (after Radtke 1991).
