Taxon description
Tavernier & Golubić, 1993
Diagnosis: The boring system is composed of radiating, sparcely branched tunnels. The resin casts appear as small diverging bushes 150-300 μm across (Text fig. 1A, right). The tunnels are 16-50 μm in diameter and have a knotty appearance with alternating wider [40.5 ± 4.48 (10) μm] and narrower [22.8 ± 3.32 (10) μm] sections. Ramification is infrequent, mostly occurring at wide angles. Tunnel tips are inflated so that the casts appear club-shaped, with rounded ends (Textfig. lB)
