Diagnosis. Tube large, vesiculose proximally, where it is commonly curved. The exterior bears numerous transverse wrinkles.
Description. The tube is brown or brownishblack, approximately 10 cm long and 1 cm wide, and is of almost uniform thickness throughout its length. Tube wall approximately 1 mm thick. Transverse section circular in well preserved specimens. The tube is curved proximally. Interior surface smooth but the exterior bears numerous transverse wrinkles. The basal part of the tube contains large vesicles.
