Diagnosis/description: U-shaped spreiten or pouch-like tunnels of 1.5–3 mm diameter; aligned perpendicular to substratum and penetrating wood to 20 mm.

Emended diagnosis. — Small, U-shaped spreiten or pouch-like structures in wooden, organic-rich or bone substrates.
