Alamselts HELIOLITINA, Ülem-Ordoviitsium kuni Kesk-Devon. Need korallid on teistest nii erinevad, et olid varem loetud alamklassiks Heliolitoidea. Jagunevad kolmeks suureks ülemsugukonnaks Helioliticae (koralliitide vaheline kude koosneb tuubulitest, joon. 3A), Proporicae (kude on põisjas, joon. 3B) ja Coccoseridicae (primitiivsed korallid koosnevad paksenenud trabekulaarsest skeletist, joon. 3C). Heliolitiide esineb rohkesti Saaremaa põhjaranniku pankades (Propora tubulata, Heliolites interstinctus). Ühed maailma vanimad heliolitiidid Coccoseridicae on Eestis leitud Oandu lademest Vasalemma Nordkalk karjäärist (Protaraea procella) ja Kesk-, ning Ida-Eestist (Protaraea diffluens).
