Diagnosis (after Sweet1964). Diestoceratid with conch slightly contracted at aperture; septal necks cyrtochoantic, recumbent; segments elongate, sub-trapezoidal in longitudinal section; thin annulosiphonate rings in septal foramen produce distinctive irregular linear process extending adapically and adorally, but not forming rays continuous from segment to segment.
