Emended diagnosis. Straight or curved with smooth orelaborately ornamented shells, with central or subcentral nar-row siphuncle siphuncle that may be slightly expanded be-tween the chambers. Siphuncular necks achoanitic, subortho-choanitic or orthochoanitic. Apex spherical, bowl-shaped orblunt, invariably without cicatrix
