Emended diagnosis. – Large Rusophycus covered by thick ridges perpendicular to the median furrow sepa rating the lobes. The ridges can be split into bundles of thinner ridges close to the burrow margin.
Description. – Elongate, bilobate, convex semirelief with an indistinct median furrow. The surface of the lobes is covered by distinct, thick ridges perpendicular or almost perpen dicular to the furrow. The trace fossil is about 150 mm long and about 100 mm wide. Diagnosis: Large traces with single, thick scratches associated on the lateral sides with bundles of up to five delicate scratches.
