Horizontal, straight to winding, cylindrical burrows with numerous relatively small pellets 0.3–0.5 mm in diameter. The burrow is 2–3 mm wide. Cross-cutting relationship between individuals is common, locally showing dense overlapping. Preserved as full relief in thin-bedded limestone of the Sandbian.
Emended diagnosis after Chamberlain. Linear and sinuous inclined and horizontal burrows, seldom branching and filled with relatively small ovoid pellets. http://www.ichnopolis.dk/html/alcyonidiopsis.html
