Revised diagnosis. (After Schlirf 2000 and Neto de Carvalho & Rodrigues 2007) Horizontal to vertical, downward-branching burrows with concentrically to irregularly laminated bulbs that bud from an elongate burrow with a circular to elliptical crosssection in a dichotomous to fan-like pattern.
