Unequally biconvex shell, subcircular in outline, with pedicle valve about half as deep as long and a faintly sulcate brachial valve one-fifth as deep as long. Cardinal process with median crest reaching above hinge-line; brachiophores erect, in anterior view subparallel. Dorsal muscle field with posterior elements about half as long as anterior ones.
