Rünhonelliformid (lukuga brahhiopoodid)

Taksoni iseloomustus

Rünhonelliformid, varasema nimetusega lukuga (või luksed) brahhiopoodid ehk artikulaadid (alamhõimkond Rhynchonelliformea), on kõige mitmekesisem ja arvukam brahhiopoodide rühm. Neile on iseloomulik kaltsiitne kahest poolmest koosnev koda, millel on välja arenenud hambakestest ja vaokestest koosnev lukustusmehhanism.

Rünhonelliformid on Eesti aluspõhja karbonaatkivimites kõige tavalisemateks fossiilideks.
