Diagnosis.-Burrow larger than other known species of Planolites (25-38 mm), predominantly straight, compressed parallel to bedding, and with smooth and linear walls.
Description.-Burrow is compressed parallel to bedding. Tunnel is smooth and commonly lined with dark clay-sized particles. Burrow diameter may vary slightly along its length which may be quite long, reaching one to two feet. Burrow walls usually exceedingly linear over entire burrow length.
