Emended diagnosis: Lined or unlined, vertical to steeply oblique tubes with single or multiple Y- or U-shaped, upward branched bifurcation and slight enlargement at junctions; tubes usually connecting to the bedding surface.

This trace fossil occurs as very thin, tubular, branched structures in sandstones, about 1 mm wide, forming arcs and irregular forks with upward branches. They are filledwith muddy material. The upward branching differs in this trace fossil from Chondrites.
