Taxon description

Hints, L., 1975

Shell of large size, unequally biconvex. The length of the hinge-line correspondens to about three-fifths of the width of the shell. Thin plate-lake brachiophores with well-defined socket plates. Radial ornamentation consisting of angular costae and costellae with endopunctae, varying from 4 to 6 per 2 mm, at 5 mm anterior of dorsal umbo.
